Workers will picket across the country today, in Gauteng, they’ll gather at the police headquarters in Midrand.
JOHANNESBURG – Striking 10111 call centre agents will again on Friday morning picket outside the police headquarters in Midrand.
Labour unions Saftu and Numsa have called on their members to support today’s industrial action.
Workers will gather at the police headquarters in Midrand where they’ll reiterate their demand for a salary increase.
Call centre agents say they can no longer accept being underpaid and say they will now remain on an indefinite strike after negotiations at the CCMA.
The South African Policing Union’s Oscar Skommere says they are pleased that Saftu has decided to join the picket.
“The support from other federations will give us support and the more we come in numbers, the more results we will get.”
